The Patterdale Terriers are black, brown or red.    The Patterdale Terrier is also known as the Fell Terrier.   Both the Jack Russell Terrier and the Patterdale Terrier are bred primarily as a hunting dog.   The Patterdale terrier was developed in the Fell area of England for hunting fox.   The  Patterdale terrier has since become popular in many countries and used to hunt fox, badger, raccoon, woodchuck, squirrels etc.  

The Patterdale Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier are known for their courage and will take on adversaries much larger than themselves.  The Patterdale terrier is also known for its affection and loyalty however because of its feisty nature, the Patterdale Terrier is not for everyone.
